Thanksgiving

I really love the holidays. It's so much fun to be around friends and family, eat lots of good food, and make lots of great memories. This Thanksgiving was a very busy one for me. It was my first Thanksgiving since I started making cookies. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be to manage making cookies while thinking about the upcoming holiday. I was very happy with all of the Thanksgiving designs this year.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. I hope you all did too and I'm looking forward to Christmas!

Happy Holidays!!

University of Houston

So I have been really slacking on updating the blog lately. The holidays have brought many cookie orders and there are never enough hours in the day to complete them all.

Since I am from Houston and UH has a big game tomorrow I thought I would post these cookies that I did a while back. Hopefully it will give them some good luck in their conference championship game tomorrow!

While I did not go to UH, it is always nice to see your hometown school doing well. So for tomorrow - Go Coogs!

End of October

So October proved to be a VERY busy cookie month. We had several Halloween orders, some birthday orders, some shipped orders, some cookie jars, and some thank you gifts. It has been a very busy month!

I also bought a new camera this month. I decided that my old pictures were not good enough so I've been practicing with my new camera. Here are some of the cookies I've been doing this month:

We had a baby shower at the office. Of course I offered to bring cookies. They were a hit! Everyone loved them! It's always fun to see people's reactions to the cookies I make. It makes this job/hobby so much more fun.

These cookies were made for an order being shipped to Florida - red purses and shoes with "Thank You" written on them. I thought they turned out prett cute! These are some new purse designs.

These were for a bridesmaid luncheon. The wedding colors were peach and white so we made some bridesmaid dresses to match.

These were also part of the order sent to Florida. Crosses with "Blessings" written on them.

Another part of the Florida order - red and white birthday presents with "Happy Birthday James" on them.

Closer picture of the thank you purses.

All of the cookies for the Florida order - all bagged and ready to be shipped! This is an example of the way we bag our packaged cookies.

October has been very busy but I can only imaging what November and December will bring me! I already have some orders lined up for December and will be out of town from the 17th-24th so get your orders in early if you want Christmas cookies! They would be great for Christmas parties and teacher gifts!

Birthday Cookie Jars

My family has a lot of September birthdays. Both of my brothers, my sister in law (you remember the cow cookies I made for her a few weeks ago), and my boyfriend all have September birthdays. Lots of September birthdays means lots of birthday cookie jars! Both of my brothers are Aggies (Whoop!) so we made them some Aggie cookie jars:

My boyfriend loves duck hunting and fishing and anything outdoors. So naturally, he got a camo hunting and fishing cookie jar:

Everyone loved getting their personalized birthday cookies! This week I have an order of fleur-de-lis and footballs, a dog themed cookie jar and cookies for a high school open house. October is a busy month!

Baby Shower

Last week I had an order for a baby shower. The mom really likes leopard print so we made sure to incorporate leopard print into her cookies.

Next up - A&M birthday cookie jars and a camo hunting and fishing cookie jar

Butterflies, Dolphins, and Cows

Last week I posted about the Women's Hospital Style Show and Luncheon I had the privilege to make cookies for. Below are some close ups of the cookies and the process it took to make all of those cookies!

The Butterflies

Cookies were everywhere!

All of the cookies with the invitations. The colors were made to match the invitations.

I also made some dolphin cookies this week for a birthday party. The girl's favorite color is blue so we made blue dolphins!

Here is an example of our packaging.
My sister-in-law's birthday was this past weekend. Her favorite animal is a cow - so naturally we made her cow cookies! She also loves cake balls so we made her some amaretto cake balls. They were delicious!

All of the desserts. Cookies, Cake Balls, and Whoopie Pies.
This has been a busy cookie week! More updates soon to come! Coming up soon - Leopard print!!!
